About Our Program

This program allows experienced Paramedics to earn an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) in two semesters after completing the NUR 215 course. The personalized progression pathway allows Paramedics to earn an (ADN) with minimal repetition of the skills and knowledge they have already learned. Applicants must be a current Paramedic.


This Paramedic to ADN Bridge program prepares students for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Mayland's (NCLEX-RN) pass rate for 2020 - 100%.

Paramedic to A.D.N. Entrance Requirements

These following must be completed prior to program entrance: All coursework must be completed with a minimum grade of C.

  • Hold a Paramedic certification with the NC office of Emergency Medical Services or National Registry
  • ENG 002
  • ENG 111 Writing & Inquiry
  • BIO 168 Anatomy & Physiology I
  • BIO 169 Anatomy & Physiology II
  • PSY 150 General Psychology
  • NUR 215 Paramedic to RN Bridge Concepts (Completed with minimum grade of B)
  • Cumulative GPA 2.5
  • Meet benchmark scores on Kaplan Entrance Exam (Overall 55%, Reading 60%)
