HVAC/R Level I
Earn a national credential in the ever-evolving field of heating and air conditioning. Students will have the opportunity to sit for the NC State EPA certification exam upon completion of the course.

What you'll learn
This course will prepare students to meet the standards of the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum and provide each student with basic knowledge and necessary skills to become a quality entry level employee in the HVAC industry. (192.5 Hours)

- Basic safety
- Construction math
- Intro to hand tools
- Intro to power tools
- Intro to construction drawings
- Communication skills
- Intro to HVAC
- Basic electricity
- Intro to heating
- Intro to cooling
- Intro to air distribution systems
- Copper and plastic piping practices
- Soldering and brazing
- Carbon steel piping
Admissions Requirements:
- Provide proof of high school completion (high school transcripts, copy of high school diploma, or copy of completion of GED requirements) or completion of CASAS assessment with at least 8th grade reading and math skills.
Cost of Class:
- Tuition/Registration: $180
- Text: $199 (subject to change)
- Optional accident insurance: $1.20
