The fee for this class is waived for firefighters and law enforcement.
Students in this Class are Eligible for $500 in HEERF Funds!
Prepare for small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)/Drone flight certification. Topics include flight theory, flight operations, and flight training utilizing the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Remote Pilot. Learn about the regulations, weather, airspace, human factors, and UAS performance. Upon completion, students will be prepared to sit for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Knowledge Test and NCDOT UAS Operator Permit. This course is recommended for anyone interested in using drones to take commercial photos or videos, search and rescue, damage assessment, and more. (29 Hours)
Cost of Class
Tuition/Registration: $125
Higher Education Emergency Relief Funding (HEERF) will be distributed to Continuing Education students enrolled in this class for Summer 2022. These funds will be distributed as a direct payment to students to help offset the cost of the class including tuition, books, transportation and other related fees.
